Ivory Properties Group Berhad scored another triumph when it emerged the Best Penang Developer in the 2nd NST Property - S C Cheah’s Choice Awards 2011.

The Group was among 10 other developers who were picked as the best developer in several categories by Cheah, a seasoned property writer and popular columnist at Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Sept 23.

The other categories are Property Man of the Year, Best Philanthropic Public Listed Developer, Best Green Developer, Best Lifestyle Developer, Best Township Developer, Best Iconic Development, Best Residential High-rise Development, Best Transformation Development, Best New Commercial Development and Best Boutique Bungalow Developer.

In his rationale for awarding Ivory the award, Cheah said he was particularly pleased that the Group has constantly helped his home island to improve upon its image through its innovative house designs.

“Ivory created something beautiful as seen from its very splendid Moonlight Bay development off Batu Ferringhi.

“As a responsible corporate citizen, the Group has also undertaken a complete refurbishment and preservation of the historic Birch House back to its former glory at the Penang Times Square development.

“They have also steadily broken new benchmarks in quality and customer satisfaction,” he said in his editorial piece.

Ivory’s group chairman and chief executive officer Datuk Low Eng Hock, who received the award from Housing Ministry Deputy Secretary-General Datuk Yeo Heng Hau, said the Group felt lucky and honoured to be adjudged the best in Penang given the many other prominent developers here.

“This is clearly a milestone for our company which has come a long way since its establishment in 1999.

“We wish to take this opportunity to thank our purchasers for having faith in Ivory and we shall continue to strive for the best,” he said.
