Merdeka March Pas 2011

Dataran Pemuda Merdeka, Butterworth , 16 Sept 2011

DONNED in their cowboy hats - embellished with red and yellow feathers, some 50 staffs of Ivory were the centre of attention at the Merdeka Parade in Dataran Pemuda Merdeka, Butterworth recently (Sept 16).

Led by Ivory’s architecture director Zaida Ayob and assistant operations manager (security) Fazidah @ Nur Hannah Zafirah Baharuddin, the group troop gallantly in a 1km march pass before the Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, other dignitaries and some 5,000 spectators.

The Penang-level Malaysia Day and 54th National Day event also saw contingents from both public and private sectors representing the government departments, agencies, uniformed bodies, non-governmental organisations, private companies, school and institutions of higher learning.

The team from Ivory went through a series of training sessions prior to the actual day.
They also attended the rehearsal on Sept 14.

Participants arrived as early as 5am on that day in green and black T-shirts before going under the scorching weather later on to show their patriotism and make Ivory proud.

Bravo to the Ivory contingent for their high spirit and commitment throughout the parade.
