A fire disaster razed a total of 11 houses consisting 45 families at Tanjung Tokong, an area that was struck by the tsunami not to long ago as well. The estimated loss these families suffered due to the tragic fire was RM2.8 million. An immediate relieve team was deployed to deliver aid to the fire victims by Ivorycares soon after knowing of the incident. Ivorycares managed to collect a total of RM13,000 to execute the relieve effort. RM10,000 from the amount was in cash and the balance of RM3,000 was used to purchase basic essentials such a biscuits, blankets, towels, tooth brush, tooth paste and soap to be distributed to all the 45 families.
