Ivorycares, the charitable arm of Ivory Properties Group once again organized the Ivorycares Carnival Day. The objective of Ivorycares Carnival Day was to channel 50% of the funds raised to Partners Against Poverty (PAP) in aid of the hardcore poor families in Penang and the balance 50% of funds raised to Ivorycares to support its ongoing activities and programs organized for the underprivileged planned throughout the year. An exciting program was lined up for the public to participate and enjoy from 10.00am to 3.00pm at Penang Times Square’s Open Plaza. 

The carnival comprised about 50 hawker stalls from the Federation of Hawkers Association (Penang and Seberang Perai) featuring Penang’s popular hawkers of various local delights. Adding on to the carnival atmosphere were live band performances, colouring contest, magic show, clown appearances, stilt walker, balloon sculpturing, dance performances, Michael Jackson talent show and many more for the whole family to participate.

In line with the event, Ivory Properties Group contributed RM2,000.00 worth of Carnival Tickets to the hardcore poor families under Partners Against Poverty (PAP) whereby a total of 200 people, arranged by PAP, attended the Carnival to join in the fun and feasting.

The Carnival was officially declared open by YB Puan Betty Chew Gek Cheng, the wife of our Right Honourable Chief Minister. Also present to grace the event were YB Phee Boon Poh, State Executive Councilor for Health, Welfare, Caring Society & Environment and Mr Lam Tong Ying, Chairman of the Federation of Hawkers Association (Penang & Seberang Perai).
