Dato' Abu Bakar bin Hassan, a Malaysian, is the Independent and Non-Executive Director of the Company. He is also a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee. He started his career in the public sector in 1979 until his retirement in 2015. Having amassed more than 30 years of valued experience in land administration and development, management of local government, and private and public sectors housing developments, Dato' Abu Bakar is also an expert in land laws.
Planning and implementation of development projects, administration and development of lands and districts, budgets and financial planning, management of local governments, management and development of housing sectors and land developments are among his fields of expertise. He was also actively involved in examination of plans submitted by developers for planning approval and ensure that each application was in compliant with the planning guidelines.
